i was planning to put koi's in my pond and im just wondering if there are filters for ponds?
if there is what kind? overhead filter?

another thing is water change..
when changing water and cleaning the pond do i have to transfer the koi's to another container? if not how?
tips in changing and cleaning water please!! :good:

when pond is clean and water is clean.. that means it needs alot of anti chlorine tight? (there goes the money)

how many times do i clean the pond in a month? tnx!!

Get yourself a good book. I've heard a few good things about 'How to Keep Koi: An Essential Guide' It's worth buying something that can give you all the information basics first. Then you can find a Koi Keeping forum and ask some questions on there.

what are the dimensions of the pond?
Koi will need a large pond that is heavily filtered

as for the the kind of filtration, generally speaking for koi you should use a filter that is rated at twice the volume of your pond,
in other words if the pond is 1000G the filter should be able to cope with 2000G.
the best filters, IMHO, are box filters fitted with a vortex and a UV steriliser, however that may not be in your budget
so a basic box filter will suffice for now.
Oase, like some other makers, do modular systems allowing you to add UV and a vortex at a later date,
speak to your local stockist for the best for your situation.
