I went to the zoo Tuesday and of course took way too many pics. I though you all might enjoy some pics of a decently sized saltwater tank, and one of the ponds.

I also have another topic in the non-fish photo section if you guys want to see the rest of the animals. :hey:

Pond fish of some sort, anybody know what species?

From the top, it does look a little like a carp body style with it being elongated and not too heavy set through the mid-section, but in the first pic of them, you can see one or two with the head pointed straight at the camera and I don't think carp have such "tall" body shapes like this. Thats why I said maybe it's some type of fish in the sunfish species family or close to it...
 
Deffinetley not a carp of any sort, more likely to be a species of sunfish like you suggested.
 
the pond fish look like pumpkin seeds, a common sunfish subspecies.
