Poecilia formosa, Amazon molly, source

Hello,

If anyone here has as information as to where I might obtain P. formosa (in the UK) then I would be very interested in hearing about it.
I understand that a few UK universities keep them for genetic research, but enquiries to them have not been replied to.

I've tried the British Livebearer Association, the best info that I've been given is that these fish have not been seen in the UK for more than 15 years..

Has anyone any further information??

As much as we are not allowed to advertise other forums, I seriously doubt anyone on TFF in the UK has a ready source of Amazon mollies. I would suggest that you contact the British Livebearer Association to see whether or not one of their members has a source for them. I live in the US and am a member of the ALA which is the first place I would look for them. If I actually wanted some of these fish, the Trader published by the ALA would be the first place that I would ask for them. For me that would be easy, since I am the person who organizes it for publication. The pre-convention edition went to the printer today.
