i have my pleco with 2 cons in a 55 gal. when they breed will the pleco be able to avoid the onslaught? he is basically unnoticed by the fish right now and goes into all their terrioties un harmed

I'm not sure. They're called 'convicts' for a reason. I would post this in the cichlid section, where you migght get more specialist advice. :good:

my bad i guess it was a little dumb

can i have an answer atleast?

Well cichlids aren't my strong point, but I plan to be upgrading and have done some research. What is the length of the pleco in question? To be honest I would think that the pleco may be in danger, but that's just me.

It's nice to know we have such an outstanding sense of trust and community in this fish forum. I see absolutely no bias or disdain toward anyone :good:

You probably will be taking a risk with the pleco in there so if you can I would separate it. I'd be worried about those convicts especially since they are breeding. To be honest I wold highly recommend you should move it somewhere else temporarily.

As for backley420 I think his account has been hacked. I don't think he should get banned for something he didn't say because from his past posts this seems unlike him.

how bout we answer my question and stop talking bout that
