Pleco White Cotton Effect On Fin

Hi all,

ive just got back from work and noticed somthing as part of my routine check on my fish

the water was done 2 days ago with some routine maintrence was ok

on his left fin, there is some white stuff, which looks like fine cotton, ive quickly googled it, looks like it might be a funus type of infection?

can anyone please check this for me, ive uploaded some pics, i know there not perfect but if anyone could confirm please or is it me paniking to much

he seems fine, feeding ok, no sunken belly, swmimming as normal

anyone who replys will be thanked, if anymore information is needed or pics, please let me know

Sounds like columnaris to me.
Columnaris is bacterial.
 
How big is your tank and how long is the pleco? What kind is it? Plecos pollute the water quite fast and on top of that are very sensitive to water quality which could be the cause of his infection.

the plec has been happy for the last year without any problems, he is around 6inchs

he lives with a few tank mates, tank size is 200ltrs, running a sera 1300 pump
