Pleco- What Type Of Fish Fillets Do I Feed It ?

I have a pleco and have read they eat shimp, mussles and veg but i heard you can feed them fish fillets but what type of fish fillets do pleco eat or can it be any type of fish fillets ?

Any white sea fish (pollack, coley, cod).

It should be fed raw.

I should have said; it's not a necessary part of their diet, although some species of plec are more carnivorous than others. You shouldn't be feeding it more than once a week.

Most fish love to eat fish; the rule is you feed only sea fish to freshwater fish, and freshwater fish to marines (because you're feeding it raw, there is tiny chance of introducing parasites or diseases, but marine parasites can't live in freshwater, and vice versa).

hmm good rule of thumb there so if i wanted to treat my fish n pleco some nice raw bit of cod thnx rare treat for them but may see how it goes

How big is your plec (and do you know what species it is?) and how big is your tank?

550 ltrs tank and from research online with comparring pictures it appears to be a bulldog pleco about 5-6 inches

In his book, "Back to Nature Guide to L-Catfishes", Ingo seidel describes the various pleco diets as follows:
 
Aufwuchs-feeders
Omnivores
Wood eaters
Carnivores
 
Depending on which pleco you might have, one of the above dietary styles would be compatible. Plecos have different dentition specifically suited to each one of those diets.

Ive tried everything it wont eat , only comes out at night time maybe he does eat the left overs but i never seen him eating anything i give him.every night i give him 7x catfish pellets and 2 algae wafer tablets topped off with a slice of zucchini that i had blanched 3 days previous frozen but let it defrosted before placing into tank. I leave everything in there until next morning apart from the zucchini i remove after 3 hrs if not eaten to prevent a bloom in bacteria and everything still there in morning un touched. So i got myself a large piece of driftwood and im going to start testing with it once i sank it for 1wk before placing into tank.

i got frozen mosquito cubes should he eat them ? I orginaly got them for my bettas.

i heard pleco like to eat blood worms should i give them life or frozen bloodworms ? For my pleco to eat. As i said in trying everything out just to see what he or she likes. Starting tomorrow i try fish fillets and see what happens ipl get it from ASDA super market which is WAL-MART British name for there store.
