Pleco Problems?

Hello everyone! So I am new at this and I got suckered into buying a pleco to "clean" my tank. Well since my tank is so new I've learned I don't need him. I have a 10 gallan tank and I don't know what to do with this fish! Will he grow huge?? Will he hurt my tetras if he doesn't get algea? (I give him wafers tho). Its been too long to return him so I'm confused now! PLease help!

There's no Pleco ( except maybe ottos which need schools ) that will fit in a ten gallon. It's probably a common Pleco which will grow to 18 inches long and produce massive amounts of ammonia. Return to fish shop ASAP.

I agree, please don't listen to fish stores when they try and sell you a fish. Research first then you can think about it
