Pleco Help Please!

I just got a new pleco cause my other one died... I put it in a tank with my other dragon gobies. Many Internet sites say that gobies are brackish water fish... right now they are completely freshwater but I would like to add aquarium salt to the tank... Will the pleco survive in brackish conditions? Or should I just stick with straight freshwater?

Do you happen to know the exact breed of pleco you just bought today? This will help with deciding whether or not to allow him to be brackish.

most plecos can survive some salt but i have seen the dragon gobys in a full freshwater tank and survive preety well

Just wanted to add make sure you use marine salt not aquarium salt as it lacks the minerals needed
