i checked my pleco and it has tiny haris so tiny they look like protozaian velveti thought it was velvet but i took a closer look i have the wieredeistplecos oh and it has little cream colored spots on her im surprised its there maybe its some kind of new and more powerful ick

Are the "hairs" like spikes and on the tail? If so that could be odontodes that males have.

As for the cream coloured spots, could they be described as a "peppering of gold spots"?

If so, then my Interpet booklet form meds says this is symptoms of velvet. A parasite infestation caused by flukes (Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus sp.) and protozoan parasites. Sympotoms include flicking/rubbing, gold/yellow spots, rapid gill movement, hanging about close to the water surface...

Influences factors: "Usually the parasites are present on the fish in low numbers and these are easily dealt with by the fish's immune systems. However, if the fish becomes stressed ie. poor water quality, then these partasites will rapidly multiply and overcoe the fish"

What are you water readings like and how long have you had the fish. You might want to seriously reconsider the 2nd common ('florida canal plec') you were talking about in another post.

HTH

Also, could the "hairs" be worm like attchments onto the fish? The same booklet states this as a symptom of "higher form parasite" (including anchor worm, fish lice and fish leeches).

Once again HTH, I am going to bed now but I will be back on tomorrow afternoon. I don't know where you are in the world but it is 00:04 here now.

:)

Are you mad?!!!

What are you going to do with all these fish? Your Oscar will not be good in that 30US and the 2 common plecs you are about to have will grow massive if they live long enough. And I saw your post about a 75US, I think that is the minimum required for an Oscar.

You should make sure the fish you have a re healthy and happy before researching, then buying fish.

You keep posting probles about various fish on here but never listen.
