i have 6 Labidochromis caeruleus and 6 cynotilapia afra 'white top'.

i think someone has said that i can have bristlenose. but wanted to know if there where any others. (its mainly for algea eating)

how many should i keep?

the tank is 185 litres about 40 UK Gallons/48 US Gallons

thanks
chris

Bristlenose plecos work best with mbuna because they are so heavily "plated" that it doesn't bother them if the mbuna nibble a little bit, also they are excellent algae eaters. In your size tank, you could keep any plec that stays under 6", but if you do get one other than a bn, make sure you have another tank you can put it in (or return it to the LFS) if the mbuna pick on it. I recommend avoiding any really expensive, or fancy long-finned varieties.

Here's a list of smaller plecs.
