I have been reading around the forum for a while and ive seen one person who has a bristlenose catfish in their rekord 70. Now i was wondering whether anybody can recommend any plec's or catfishes other than corys that won't grow too big for my tank? Particularly the sailfin types if possible and ones that i can get hold of easily? I'd be willing to work around it in terms of tank mates.

Well, as you know there are bristlenose cats, which should be ok in a rekord 70.

Otherwise, you could go for some otocinclus. Cure little things and quite small, but need to be in groups.

There are clown plecs. They stay quite small.

Hi,

This topic might be helpful http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=132656 personally i would go with a bristlenose or a rubbernose/bulldog plec as they definately eat algea, some plecs like clowns only eat wood, some eat meat. The best thing to do would be to make a list of the fish you can find locally then look on www.planetcatfish.com in the catelog section. A group of otos would be nice but they don't really stand out much. Proper sailfin plecs grow 18-24 inches so avoid them unless you plan a massive upgrade.
