Hi guys I just got my plec back from my neighbour who was looking after him while I was fixing my tank I got him back yesterday and I have noticed that he is looseing his colour from his front fins all the way down his tale he is normally Brown with white spots but the Brown seems to be going pale

Why is this happening and if it's not normal how can I stop it?

Thanks robaidh

How big is the tank?
What type of Pleco is he?
What are the water tests revealing in the tank?
How old is he?
What other fish is he living with?

Fish paling is often a sign of stress.

It's a 190 liter coroner tank think it's a juewlt trigon190 I sold all my fish to a friend so that I could get MalawI which lids but wanted to keep my plec. Not done any water tests as yet he's gone pale before just not this much

Talltree is right. I advise you to get your water tested. Plecos are very messy fish wise and could offset the filter and cause a large ammonia spike in the tank which would make them loose his colour.
