Hi

This is one of the plecos that I rescued last weekend - I'm pretty sure they are commons just need confirmation.

This is Alan (as in Titchmarsh cos of the amount of plant shifting he's done since his arrival  )

Lucan (as in Lord cos we never see him) is exactly the same but getting pics of him is impossible

Once I have a positive ID I will be putting Alan up for adoption in the 'buy sell swap' section so if anyone is interested - take a look :good:

He is a Common and a beautiful one too!

thanks Stang - I thought he was. He is a lovely fish - very full of himself - its great to see really knowing the hell hole he was living in a fortnight ago

Good on you for rescuing him! :good:
He certainly looks nice and healthy so you've obviously done a great job by putting him in a bigger tank.
It's such a shame you have to sell him though. :(

I know, but my tank just isn't big enough for 2 - and TBH 2 commons weren't in my game plan when I set the tank up  I planned 2 slightly smaller BN's

You're donig the right thing y rehoming them and I'm certain they will go to a good home.
Make sure you post pics of your BN's if you get some! ;)

the pattern on his belly, if it was P. pardalis it would be spotted rather than the wormlike pattern shown in picture 1
