Plec Digging

in the last 2 days my plec has taken up residence under a bit of tank furtniture and has cleared the sand away from under this point is this normal ?

Plecs like hiding places. My bristlenose moves gravel a little bit, and has wedged himself a cave under some driftwood after being run out of his old home by a goby. There's some species that bury themselves under sand during the day.

My bristlenose cleared a good amount of gravel from underneath a rock and spends most of tine there.

My plecs move the gravel from under the box filter, and live under there during the day.
