Please Share Experiences With Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, I Need Some Inpu

I'm thinking about adding 6 or 7 dwarf neon rainbows to my 55G heavy planted tank. I would like to know the inside of these fish. Are they better looking in person then in photos?

Do they school well?

Anything that would help me make my choice would be great. I'm going to get these guys tomorrow if I have some positive feedback.

They will be with...

4 corys, 7 black neons, 5 cardinals, 2 rams, and 5 ottos.

Beautiful fish, especially when the light catches them right. Mine are in a 30gallon setup with neon tetras, harlequin rasboras, panda corys and ottos, so they should do ok in your setup. As a general rule they do school well.

I just got some dwarfs last week. Nice fish. Their blue really shines when you give them shade from the aquarium lights as it tends to 'wash out' their colors. Try to get at least one more female than males to cut down on 'bickering'. For the most part, the males will have red fins, where as the females will be more orangeish. They are very voracious eaters too.
