could someone please ID this plant for me .i just got it from my mate .not sure if its a back \mid \ foreground plant .

That definately doesn't look like any aquatic plant I've ever seen, a pic from another angle would help.

just called my mate to ask him where he got it from .he told me the pet shop .its only over the road from me so i went over there . and they have the same plant in a few of the tanks .i asked what the plant was called . he said i dont know

Its definately a fern, or at least a lower-plant.

I used to have that plant, 100% its not aquatic. It will just go black/brown and pollute the water after a week or two.
Cant remember the real name of it, itis commonly sold by pet shops as an aquatic plants, like many others.

It looks like Aqua Fern, but despite the name check on plantgeek.net for it. Aqua Fern is non aquatic. Loads of collections have it to make up the number cheap.
