I am totally new to having fish so here goes my question!

Today i bought one Siamese fighting fish and one angel fish.

However, i do not know the conditions they must be kept in!!! Please help!

is it warm or cold water? Someone told me it was warm water. i`m not sure what to do!

Thanks!

eeek how bigs the tank

erm get your temperature upto the mid 20's someone will give you the appropriate temperatures for the said fish also if you have more than one siamiese fighter try keep them seperate until you have distinguished what sex they are as the males will fight, angels need quite big tanks Btw

sorry just re-read your post the siamiese fighter will be okay

oh gosh o__o what size is your tank. and they're tropical fish. they're supposed to be in warm water

Hi guys thanks, the tank is quite big. lots of room for them. They seem ok just now. I have put the thing in the warms up the water, dont know what its called.

looks like i will need to move the goldfish!

I dont sorry, but its two fairly large cylinders connected to each other. It is quite big for what i have in it just now.

Oh and one Red Clawed Crab

Um, okay, one, measure your tank. Two, exactly how many fish do you own total?

Here is the size of the tank, took pics. Never had any measuring tape!

what yous think?

i have 1 fighting fish , 1 red clawed crab and 1 angel fish in this tank.

Remember, i only got these today so i am still to add more accessories etc to it. But any help would be appreciate.d

Thats the maddest tank Ive ever seen! But also very, very cool B)

Can I also add that you shouldn't get ANY more fish until you've done some reading. First go this forum and read all the pinned articales. In this hobby knowledge is power, well not power so much as happy fish. Ypu could also get a book, if you're an absolute beginner most of the common ones will give you the basics, more detailed advice can then be found on here.

The reason I say this is that I dont want you to rush into anything and end up with a whole load of dead fish. Take you're time. If you've found this website, you'll get lots of help so dont be put off by early mistakes and bad (from the sounds of that shop) advice. This site has literally hundereds of experienced fishkeepers who can help :)

Sam

EDIT - please so dont read those articels/books and think 'crap Ive done everything wrong and Im goign to give up' (not that Im saying you have done anything wrong but just in case ;)) fish keeping is very involved, like keeping any pet and the more you can find out about the hobby the better your fish will be and the more pleasure they will give you :)

I think you'll probably need to return at least the angelfish. That tank (although very odd and cool looking!) isn't suitable for an angel. :good:

Those tanks are great for small livebearers...

...The angel will grow large, too large for that tank, plus the crab will nip the angels feelers...

Does it have built in filtration? If not, your going to need a filter too.

Yeh its got a filter.

This morning the crab died, im not sure why? I think maybe the water was to warm my Girlfriends dad said., The current fish are ok.

I will see how these guys do so far then i will read and read before i buy more fish.

Cheers guys!

Oh and no i dont know about cyclying tanks! :S
