i have just upgraded from a 3 foot tank to a 4 foot around 3 weeks ago, about a week ago i started geting this green stuff on the sand/glass/ornaments i though it could just be some algae and it has been gettind worse and worse despite adding some anti algae 3 days ago, i am still using my old fluval 104 filter and a internal filter just until i can save up for a better on could this possiby be the reason?

any help would be very much apriciated i its geting worse and i have no idea wot needs doing

many thanks
james

Do you keep live plants?
How long is the light left on at a time?
What is your tank temperature usually at?

Sounds like a typical algae problem.

i have 2 smal plants i got about a week ago, lights are on roughy 8am-7pm ish , temp is at 25 degrees

i would reduce the amount of time the light is on to around 8 hours per day, and cut down feeding to once per day if you don't already do this.

Do you know the water parameter ?
