I changed my substrate to sand this afternoon. I was just sitting there watching my cory cats having a field day, when I noticed 2 strange looking things on the inside of the glass. I took my butter knife (I use it to help push things into place) and gently pushed against them. They both took off swimming, then settled back into place. Before I could grab my camera, one of my neons saw them and ate them both. They were just teeny tiny little clear things, with what looked like eyes that were 2 black dots forming, and the "body" was a straight tail looking thing. They looked similar to very young mosquitos. I think mosquitos hang around the surface of water and the flick back and forth (like the letter c) to move, where as these looked like they were swimming like fish. They were actually sticking to the glass, then they swam, then they came right back to the glass again. I really wish my neon wouldn't have eaten them! Does any one have an idea what these were??? I have a pregnant guppy, but she still looks very much pregnant.
:dunno:

Yes but guppy fry don't stick themselves to the glass though...it was probably just some sort of insect larvae and nothing to worry about if your fish find them tasty.
