In Bottom Their is enough room for the fry's to get Life .

Your molly looks pretty close to dropping fry :good:

Its up to you but i wouldn't advise putting her in the jar,it might stress her to much...

Have you got plants in your tank?,fry are pretty good at hiding if you have plenty of plants and hidey holes for them, they can survive,or you could catch them has she is dropping them.

Oldman is the expert on molly drops,i'm sure he'll be along soon :good:

Good luck with yours :)

I'll edmit it

OLDMAN is good at advice.

but you should realy take advice from others aswel :good: me personally would never put the mollie into the jar as it will as stated above. Stress her out. wait for her to drop the fry.

then scoop them out and put them into the Jar until you can get a breeding trap

25% water changes a day are a MUST Do.

When I want a female to drop fry separately, I place her by herself into at least a 5 gallon and by preference a 10 gallon tank. That will give you room for the fry to grow bigger before they must be moved or sold. I use cover in my livebearer tanks but each time I breed a molly, I find they are not big fry eaters anyway so the cover need not be perfect.
As far as judging the progress of your molly, I have a thread that you can reach from my signature area, called My Molly's Progress that has pictures to help you identify where your molly may be in her fry development. It lets you think about what you see in your own tank and then read through the pictures to try to define the stage your female has reached.
Knox is quite right, there is no such thing as an expert here, some of us are better at certain subjects than others but we are all here to help each other. As is the case with many people, I often forget to mention things even on subjects that I know quite well. The other members can help a lot by filling in the details.

Good afternoon,
As the above discussion occurd, I beg pardon from all the respected senior members that I didn't follow the standard community guidelines,

And this caused all You Senior Members to teach me how to behave here.

I feel Extreemly sorry, and Deep respect the replies of all the honorable members.

Specially to Mr.Oldman47 & Knox213.

Will These tigers and Tetras Eat My Frys ??

The tiger barbs will eat the fry so fast that you will never notice them. If you want to save baby mollies, you will need to move the heavy female to a separate tank or to a breeding net. The other mollies, the barbs and whatever tetras you have will all eat fry and that tank is never likely to have fry that you can find. I had my molly, the one in my pictures, in a community tank for over 6 months. After putting the female into a tank of her own, I had those fry swimming around in about 2 weeks. The big difference was that by placing her into a separate tank, there were no predators to eat the fry.

Thank's Sir,
I Am Going to keem my mollies separate tank,
and hope that they will not abort, as i am shifting them contiuesly as don't know when it's the exact time to shift them.

Right now they look like about a week away, but I can't tell from those poor pictures. If you move that one large female today, she should not lose her fry, she is far enough away from a drop right now to move safely if I am right in my guess. It is definitely hard to tell without a clear picture.

when ever i buy mollies form my LFS they always drop the next day and i cant even tell if there pregant.

this on i have looks as-if she's always pregant. she's just fat though :D

has she dropped yet or hasn't she because you could get the breeding trap
so if she hasn't you got the time to get the trap

@ hughessomefish
