Please Help Me

hello again i have a fish which i dont no the name of and dont no its info. All i no is that ever since i put my convicts in ages aggo it got reall depressed ( it is a male) i have a dominant male convict dont no if this makes a difference. For the past few weeks it just hides behind the filter or behind my rocks. Today it has been out all day but it looks really thin compared to before and dont no if it is just be but looks abit scaly. I dont think it is dropsy ( think thats the term) as they arent really bad or anything. Do u think it tmight have been ill but is getting better?

i think so. it has a female which is smaller i have 5 convicts a parrot and a headstander

its a three foot one. before any one ays out though. every one gets on with my parrot no one bothers her

its a boy but maybe its coz i have a new dominant male convict who is bigger. i dont no,. but it is my fave fish well one of .

Maybe it's because of all or some of the other fish in tank. If you really want to see some fry..pair two off and stick them in a tank on there own

gemzie78 about your ill fish.

I had a convict which went very light like that hiding behind filter and other places...after a while it stoped responding/reacting to things...as if it were blind..eventually dieying. I think I read somewhere that they can suffer some sort of blindness disease.

Anyways...just a caution, keep an eye on the little fellas eyes...make sure he can see ok

I too thought it looked like Archocentrus sajica
Seems a little hollow bellied, try offering some livefood.

Try running your hands/fingers along the tank (near where he's swimming)..if his eyes are ok..he'll atleast turn them in your direction.
