Hello to any one out there!!!

i've had fish for a while and have recently decided to start breeding my gourami's. i had a male thick lipped and have recently bought a female.
i have researched it loads but articles keep saying different things so this is what i've done..........................
i have kept her sepearate in a tank with little gravel a couple of hidy places and kept a low speed filter on the tank. she is being fed blood worm and brine shrimp. the male is very brightly coloured and she is starting to get very defined stripes. i understand that i have to put him in her tank!

just a couple of queries...........
am i doing everything right???
what should she look like when she is ready for breeding??
how sucessful is it????

thank you!!

They are extremely easy to breed and yes!!... you've done your research perfectly... (in fact, this was the very first gourami I've ever bred)

Nothing as beautiful as the male when he turns on his breeding colours..The female is just "the female" (apart from bulging with eggs).. You must however, ensure that she has plenty "hiding" place once you place HIM INTO HER TANK.. and remove her once the spawning act is over....

He is a very good parent to look after the fry alone for the first 3 days after they are free swimming, then remove him as well. Feed the babies newly hatched brine shrimp...... Good luck.

(your next project is Blue Paradise fish)....
