Please Help! Asap!

My pink butterfly pk female has a small patch of fuzz on the top of her head, on the tips of her fins and has a gash on her belly with fuzz coming out of it. She was fine when I fed her this morning, a bit lethargic but thats it, and I've been out at classes, for food, in my boyfriends room and at a comedian on campus, so I haven't been in my room all day. I can't get to the LFS for a couple of days (we just a huge snowstorm, 3' of snow and the nearest lfs is a 1/2 hour away) All I have on hand treatment wise is aquarium salt, non-iodized salt, fungus ease, aquari-sol, and quick cure, I'm afraid salt will hurt her open sore. Please tell me what I can do for her!!! Thank you!

maybe u can call ur LFS and see whats up or find a phone book and call someone or just post this thread on the forum for when you have an emergency sorry but thats all i can do

Awww I hope she's okay! It sounds like it could be fungal so I would use the fungus ease or it could be Columnaris. I read you were supposed to add aquarium salt to the tank when your fish has columnaris though Best of luck to you and your fish!

Could you get a picture up by chance? I know I have a Pleco with Columnaris at the moment. I'm using melafix to treat him and have added another aereation round. Good luck with your fishy!

Oh no poor thing! It does sound fungal I dont know about that med you have but it sounds like that might be the one to use
