CO OPERATION NEEDED... IM COUNTING ON YOU! *points at you* :p :D

Hi people, as you well may know i'm making a fish tank for my project at Alevel design so i may need some of your co operation.

I am going to make a themed aquarium based on a treasure chest. Please could you read this and post your answers accordingly please

*gets down on her knees and begs for assistance* PLEASE OH PRETTY PLEASE :p :D

here it is:

Imagine you are a beginner at keeping tropical fish and you want to buy an aquarium that can hold a nice little community without being too small or being to large and hard to maintain.
Also you want the aquarium to have an interesting exterior to catch the interest of the kids, so you go for a themed aquarium covered in wood and made to look like a treasure chest.
The treasure chest is the right size that your after, it has the minimum amount of storage you might need for food, nets, medicines etc, it is made from the type of wood you wanted and it holds a light in the lid.
The tank will be a box shape with a curved lid like a chest ... and the aquarium inside as well as the storage just to make it clear.

After imagining this and putting yourself in that position could you please answer the following questions as appropriate.

What size would you want the tank to be?

- 10 – 20gals
- 30 – 40gals
- 40 – 50gals
- 50 – 60gals
- Bigger

Would you want to be able to store a few things at the back of the aquarium behind the tank itself?

Yes
No

Would you want to buy it as a setup? E.g. aquarium with light, heater, filter…

Yes
No

If yes, how much would you be willing to pay for a setup roughly?

Please state.

If no, how much would you want to pay for the themed aquarium?

Please state.

What type of wood affect would you want?
Mahogany
Beech
Pine
Oak
Other (please state)

Would you require it to have a stand available?
Yes
No

THANK YOU... I REALLY NEED A FEW PEOPLE TO ANSWER. THANKS

1) 10-20g closer to 20g, as i think thats a good size to start with.
2) yes. there's never enough room to store stuff.
3) yes, as your aiming at the beginner chances are they would need everything.
4) tricky, somewhere around £250.
5) all could look good dependings on customer preferance. maybe you could offer a choice.
6) yes

HTH

As a 'typical' (IMO) beginner:
1) 10 gallons - that's what people usualy start out with cause it's small and manageable.
2) yes
3) yes, as a beginner I'd be looking for something that's easy to set up
4) £100 - it's only 10 gallons and I don't have MTS yet ;) Beginners aren't usualy prepaired to spend as much - then again you could probably sell it for more based on the inclusion of equipment - you know "easy to set-up, just add fish and water" just change that to de-chlorinated water after cycling the tank...
5) Anything that matches my furniture - offering choice would be best
6) No, the tank's small enough to put anywhere

As myself as a beginner:
1) 30-40 gallons because it'll hold larger and more fish... and I have that pearl gourami in mind, which will end up being 4 pearl gouramies... :p
2) yes, there's always stuff you want to hide or store out of sight
3) no, I want specific filtration...
4) £200, this tank's much larger but doesn't include equipment
5) Again, this doesn't realy matter to me but I'd go by taste or what matches my furniture so offering a variety would be best
6) yes, finding a stand that matches would be a pain and this tank is larger so it'll need one
