hi everyone,

would one 15kg bag of argos playsand be enough to cover the bottom of an 80l tank creating a decent substrate?? if not how many do you reckon i would need?? (never used it before...!!)

I think so Laura. I asked before how much of that sand would be needed for a 180 litre and a few people said one and a half bags.

I recently did my 125L with 1 and a half bags and got around a 6cm deep covering that slopes back to about 8cm so 1 bag should be plenty

get 2 just in case. if you need more in the future you might have to get a slightly different colour one. (depends how much you use.) iv got quite a lot spare from my tank so im fine ;p

What are the dimensions? a 15Kg bag should be sufficient.

I did a 70l with one bag and honestly thought it was a bit deep in places... 1 Should be fine, even enough to give you some to replace what will inevitably be sucked up the syphon over time.
