How many platys shoudl be kept together? is 2-3 ok?

Do they do well with Gourami's and Corys? Thanks for any useful info!

They should be stocked like all other common Livebearers, 2-3 females per male. And yes, they should do OK in your tank, except you may have to do more water changes since you have a smallish tank and they are pretty big waste producers. You'd also have the issue of fry. I personally wouldn't keep an all male group in your tank, since they are a bit bigger then Guppies and sometimes more aggressive.

I would have prefered guppies, but they wouldnt be compatible with the dwarf gourami. hmmm this is a tough decision. I would like a mid-dweller fish but have no idea what is good!

The Guppies may be compatible. Sometimes there is no issue, and sometimes there is. It depends on the personalities. If you had a spare tank, you could try it, and watch them. Just be prepared to move either the Guppies or the Gourami if it doesn't work. :)

Do you think: 2 Dwarf Gouramis, 3 Cherry barbs and 3 Corys would work?
or 2 Dwarf Gouramis, 5 Neon tetras and 3 corys? :S

I replied to the first one in your other post.

For the second one, it might be pushing it a little, but it should be okay. Swimming space is what I'm thinking about, not so much waste.
