hi all so i got 2 platys 1 male 1 female my friend asked me if i would try to breed him some baby platys for his 20G he told me he wonted a cross breed of a red wag tail platy and a sun burst platy so i think it should be a red platy with a larger tail but i have a problem i got the 2 fish and bam they swim a way from each other the male is making a big pile of rocks and wont let anyone get near it is this normal? the female is hiding but she looks a little big could she already have baby's in side her?  why wont they get to geather? thanks for your help

I've not heard of platies doing the pile of rocks thing.
 
I've also not heard of platies not having fry before. They are exceptionally easy to breed, however, they are also very prone to eating their own fry. If you are trying to breed them, then you should provide a decent amount of fine-leaved plants, such as java moss, for the fry to hide in whilst they grow.

ok thanks its kinda funny he has his pile of rocks and is protecting them with his life he wont even let my snail get near it with out picking at his shell untill he leaves its funny

Was the female platy in a shop tank with males? If she was, even if the 2 fish you have do breed, the female will be storing sperm from the males in the shop tank. It will take a few months before you can be sure that the fry are the babies of the male in with her now.
 
And I agree with tlm, platies moving rocks is not usual.
