Platy With White Growth?

My blue mickey mouse platy has a white sort of lump on the side of his body near the tail. Its not fuzzy and I've never seen it on any of my fish before. Any ideas? I'm also surprised it hasn't eaten any guppy fry that is with it.

that is definetly a sickness google it and you will get whats wrong

Okay thank you. The good thing is I looked in on my platy this morning and the growth is gone but now he is staying at the top of the tank with his tail angled downward. An other advice?
