Well my platy died, I started to see signs only a couple of days ago. So, do you guys think the worm/parasite in her would stay in a dead host? Or would it leave and find another host. If so how fast would they leave.??? I found her probably no later than an hour after her death.

To make sure the worm paid for what it did to my platy, I stuck my platy into the freezer! Muahahahaahaha

Sorry for your loss, R.I.P. the worms usually leave the host, that's why it's best to issolate them in case they do die, and also they can get infected by sucking other infected fish poo,
