Platy Pregnancy

Hey, my dads tank is full of platys 12 of them, anyway one of the females was pregnant and has now started giving birth....do they give birth to all the fry at once....or do they have a few each day...or what?

They give birth all at once, but it's not like a rapid fire thing. Birthing is usually slow. Mine are usually done giving birth after about 24 hours of beginning, and that's if they're heavily pregnant. A few fry an hour. You'll know she's empty after two days.

You may see fry later and think the female has given birth over a whole week, but it's a situation where you may not have spotted all the fry.
