Hi

one of my baby platies has finrot.

I have put him in a floatin breeding box in the tank, and he swims, but not for long.

His been in the box for a week or so. I treated the tank with interpet fin rot.

I think his tail fins growing back but, today when i came home he is laying on his side. he normally just lays upright on thr bottom of the box, occassionally coming up for air/food.

I have heard feeding peas is good as they are good for balance. is this true??

i also heard tea tree oil is good? has any one use this?

how long does it take for the fins to grow back.

thanks

If the fish is laying to one side not good news its usually a sign of a bacterial infection and once they do this not good.

is there any way of treating it, or prevent the others getting it?

I would issolate the fish even if it's in a container at the top of the tank like an ice cream box, the treatment could be to late, but you would need a bacterial med if you want to try and save the fish.
