Platy Had White Stringy Poo About 2inch Long Yesterday

hi, yesterday a saw that my platys poo was about 2inch long and was clear with white bits in it, this morning it was swimming round really fast then it would rest and have another burst of energy, then it died, what shall i do? what has caused this. all of my other fish are fine,

stats are NitrAte = 5
Ammonia = 0
NitrIte =0

Tough luck. Not your fault though; it will have had parasites from the shop; livebearers are quite prone to them (as I know to my cost). Probably nothing you could have done to treat it either; apparently there is a pig worming tablet somewhere that works, but how many of us can get hold of pig worming tablets?

I would do several partial water changes over the next few days just in case there are parasite eggs in the water. And keep a close eye on the others.
