Platy Died This Morning. Anyone Know Why?

I found her lying at the bottom of the tank this morning. She's has fin rot but I'd treat it with medication and aquarium salt and it looked as if it was getting better and the fungus has totally gone. She was more active than she was when she had the fungus but was dead this morning. I've been checking my water daily and the ammonia and nitrite are 0. Does anyone know what went wrong?

a necropsy (would it still be called that with fish??) is the only way to find this out. Pretty expensive things to get done, I know for a small lizard that it is near on £150 to get one done. Never seen anywhere offer it for fish.

It was probably an internal infection that took over. Usually fin rot is more like a secondary disease. It frequently pops up when there is something less noticeable (but often more serious) going on.

Thanks a lot all the other fish are doing fine so at least it isn't the water. She hadn't been right for a while but I'm new to fish keeping so didn't realise at the time
