Nope, but I'd imagine that would be quite an article! However, I can tell you, nothing like that is going to be totally acurate. It all depends on the genetics of the parents, and the grandparents, and the great grandparents, etc. So it would be really hard to say what would come out of two colors, since hardly, if any, are pure.
It's usually safe to say the reddish colors will dominate, if one of the parents has them, and the markings...they really just depend. If the parents are all the same color, the fry will be that color usually, with maybe a few oddities thrown in.
well it will be interesting to see what I end up with then Basically I have 2 sunset and 1 tuxedo females, and the male is a blue. I don't mind what I end up with really, I'm just hoping that it might include some blues.
I don't know how similar fish genetics are to other animals, but from my experiences breeding cockatiels, the fancier/rarer colours tend to be recessive genes requiring both parents to have it, and then you can get about 25% of the fancy colour. Will see in time I guess !
When I have bred orange or sunset Platys with blues I have ended up with a lot of orange/sunsets with a blue sheen on some of their scales, sounds odd I know, but they are very pretty. You are bound to end up with some throw-backs from grandparent fish too. Should turn out to be a nice mixture.
