Platy About To Go Into Labour

Just placed my little yellow and black Platy in the hatchery and any minute now she is going to start giving birth.. How exciting Typical she does this as I bought new gravel to go in and now I don't want to disturb the tank that much!

Unfortunately, she didn't make it. She passed away at around midnight last night as I was staying up with her. She seemed to have been struggling and when I went for a shower she died. We checked to see if any babies were alive but only water/ air came out of her abdomen. After researching what had happened it seems that she may have had Dropsy but I cannot be sure.

Completely gutted to have lost her in such a way I generally thought she was giving birth.
