so from what i've read i may have made a bad choice, from what i've seen all is fine. Any experience in mixing these? i have a 29g tall that has 3 large root structures which leaves the front and top open, with lots of little hiding places. I added 4 tiger barbs and 4 sunburst platties last night and they seem to be just fine, but from all i've read this can be an unfavorable pairing.

Barbs can get nasty and the more u have the higher the chances, so don't add any more.

I've done similar things in the past but if you do get nipping happening the you have to remove something

I know cherry barbs are good with platies but tigers are one of the most nippiest of fish.

hi, i have platies and tigar barbs and they get along very well no problems here :good:

awesome! so far i've had no problems and they make for an interesting pairings. The platties seem to hang out alone either near the top or under root structures. The barbs all seem so school to one side of the tank.
