Plattie and Barb

I have a plattie that keeps trying to mate with one of my blueberry barbs and I was just wondering What Is He Thinking? He chases the other two male barbs away and is steady trying to mate.

Yes it happens as he got any female platys in the tank.

I have 4 platties- 2 are orange+black, 2 are blue

What colour is the platys that trying to mate the barb, as sometimes they go by colour.

1 male blue plattie and 1 female blueberry barb

That's why if the barb is blue.

Is there any possible way he will be successful?

No he can't breed with a barb, hows the female taking his attention.

Most of the time she does't care' she lets him play around and does not swim away. I think she likes the attention, only because he chases the other barbs away.

If she gets misarable you might have to seperate them.

Most females do get miserable after a while! The only reason I am saying that is because I AM one.

I hope not.

I am not miserable yet and niether is my Barb but I will keep an eye on my plattie because sometimes he can get very aggressive with the other fish if they go close to his "girlfriend"

Maybe they would look like skinny Platties with long flowing fins?
