A freind has set up a tank and has just got some bogwood and plastic ornaments. I told her to boil the bogwood first and it turns out she also put in the plastic ornament for a bit. She said afterwards that it smelt a bit toxic but she washed it off and it looks the same as it did.
Has she ruined the coating which is put on the ornament to make it safe for aquarium use? Will it still be ok to use - she is still going to use it but i told her to soak and clean it fisrt.
