hi ive got convicts and jewels and was wondering what type of plants work best with these fish also i have clown pleco and tiger loach ive got at the moment java fern and thats is working ok also what do i need to keep the plants healthy and alive? sorry im new to plants

In the past, I have kept Thai Onions, Anubias, Java moss (and fern) and Vallis with my green terrors, who used to rearrange my tank on a daily basis. I tied everything I could to wood. The rest I used yoghurt pot tops for: take those clear, soft plastic ones, make wholes in it and pass the plants through (leaving the roots on the underside), then bury under the substrate. Worked very well.

ye ive got sum vaille but they have jst ripped it up. i like the yogurt pot ideas cheers what about any colourful plants?

Can't really think of anything "colourful" off the top of my head.. maybe some of the narrow leafed or "Windeløv" Java fern? The Anubias might aslo bloom.. but that isn't exactly colourful.

i just meant not just green like reds or somthing cheers though

Seriously, red plants are quite picky generally.. maybe a red vallis is what you want. Still, those aren't particularly colourful.
