May be a really stupid question but is there any way i can stop my fish eating my live plants as i dont like fake ones

thank you

What kind of fish do you have? If it's goldfish or Koi. It won't matter what you try. I can't think of anything that would stop a fish from eating plants but... most tropical fish won't eat them.... or at least none that I've had.

no it is tropical fish and yer certain plants i have they really eat but others tend not to get eaten too badly. also i do feed pleanty so its not that they are starving .

what fish, and what types of plants?
silver dollars silver sharks corries red tailed shark and 2 catfish ! random selection of plants from internet unsure of names but even plants with hard leaves are being damaged . thanks

none of those fish are true herbivores, are you sure they are eating them and they are not just rotting away? or maby the fish are eating the algae off them and the plants are breaking apart?

Silver dollars are herbivores. You might want to try anubias, or java fern.

woops lol i didn't even see the silver dollars part, i just saw the silver shark.
