OK i want to grow some plants and sell some off wat si the max/min amount of time i should have a light on and dose it need any air/filterashion if der is no fish in der???

I suggest you read the pinned articles, you have asked very broad questions that cant really be answered as simply as you are probably hoping. 90% of the questions you have will be answered in the pinned articles

Yes these forums are loaded with a wealth of info, you will not only find the answers to your questions, but also find many more things you have not even thought of yet (ie fert schedules, substrates, care of your plants, styles of lighting, and co2 methods and balancing all those factors for a heathly show). I would spend a good chunk of time browsing, getting all the info you can, and either going for it or ask questions along the way.

There seems to be a few methods running around here for lighting, some go a all on 10 to 12 hours, some go that route but with different intesities through the day, ie all on for part of the day with a few lights out for a few hours. Others run a siesta style 5 on 2 off 5 on, then 12 off. I could be dead wrong but most seem to do there filtration in a fashion that does not ripple the surface real strong as not to kill off there co2 and as far as air, if your talking o2, most only seem to pump it in at night if need be (ie fish being o2 starved while the plants are in the dark pumping out co2.

I personally slow my filter off in the day to a low level, and let the plants go nuts with o2 production, then on light down, I up my filter flow to break up the surface some and churn up all the floating o2 that built up during the day (i run no o2 stones or air curtains at). But as I say, I pretty new at all this, and only know what I have gathered via the forums. But if you need to know, its all here if you look around enough.
