Plants, What To Do?

I have a 40 UK gallon tank.
The lighting is ... well, on the bulb i cant read it all, the stuff I can make out says: The plant growth lamp. 30"/75 something or it was 750?
The stocking is: 2 opaline gouramis, 1 gold gourami, 1 pearl gourami, 2 neon tetras and 3 black ones, albino and normal pleco, 2 albino, 2 peppered and 2 bronze cories, 5 zebra danios and 2 angel fish.
I would like to have a fair amount of these plants: vallis, echinodorus, javafern,anubias, crypts and mosses.
I have 2 bags on pottasium phosphate and pottasium nitrate and would like to make my own DIY fertiliser, liquid or powder. What else do i need and what are the doses?

You should also get a bag of CSM+B. This is a dry fert and is a Trace fertilizer. The Potassium phosphate and potassium nitrate are Macro ferts, so a Micro(trace) fert would be CSM+B.

We really need to know the watts of your light to give you the best dosing amounts, however, I am sure someone will be on shortly to help you out with dosing, as I am not good with it myself.

Thanks, unfortunately I live in the UK.

Also Im going to change from sand to gravel. Will this be ok?

Any colours that I should use? I was thinking a black gravel or natural sort of colour ?

Yeah, that should be fine.

You can look into plant substrate (substrate for plants). It comes in all sorts of color and sizes, and yes, it comes in all black. There are different brands out, but all do the same thing pretty much.

That site I gave you, they sip internationally, so you could order from them.

A 30 inch lamp will be 25 watts, to be honest you should be able to grow anubias, crypts, microsorum and moss, without the additional ferts.

There will be enough trace elements in the tap water for the plants with lighting like that.
