do snails eat plants?

i noticed some snails spawning in my amazon sword, and the new shoots seems to be brownish and looks as though it is slowly being deteriorated.

i aint sure wot snails they are but as i look slowly they are babies?

what is happening to my sword if its anotehr case?

(ill try to get a pic soon)

snails do eat plants but im guessing that the reason your swords might not be doing well is either.
a) nutrient defficiency
B) its still getting used to its new environement
c)snails might be munching on it

snails do munch on leaves but there are certain species that dont, im not really familiar with the species that do and dont but jsut keep tabs on the number of snails in your tank, they sometimes help keep the level of algae down :)

hope this helps

in this case i think it must b the snails...
ive had the Amazon for quite abit and it was blooming well until i noticed....

thanks for help ken

ps : filipino din ako
