Plants/lighting

I want to upgrade the lighting in my jewel trigon 190 and would like some advice please. I have seen these Arcadia I-Bars High Intensity Lighting they are a straight swap for the standard one and offer t5 lighting would that be ok for tropical fish? Sorry im a bit of a newbie

My tank has been going about 1 month now and my plants have started to go like (see pic below) why is that happening any ideas?

I have added some plant food to the water but no better

Are those Amazon sword plants?
If so mine did the same thing when I first added them, but then I started adding root tabs and the problem stopped.
I think they are root feeders so using ferts in the water won't make any difference.
