Hi, the tall straight leaved plant to the right of your tank is vallis, pretty easy to grow, the bushy one to the left is cabomba, I have never had any luck with this plant and it always dies on me! the Java fern are the other two as you know, best thing to do is remove all the plants from the foam and pots/terracotta rings and plant them in the substrate apart from the Java which you can just tie onto the bog wood you have in there. May I take this oppportunity to recommend Limnophilia, looks very similar to the cabomba but is not difficult to grow at all :good:

thanks for a speedy response.....

few more questions though:

ok, so i take my vallis out of the pit/foam/lead, then how do i keep it together in my gravel and stop it floating away???

same goes for my cabomba?

as for cabomba, ive had it before, and it started growing really well, till i trimmed it down and i ended up with it falling to pieces!!

Just bury them into the gravel, if you find they keep floating to the top place some larger pebbles over the top of the gravel where they are buried or bury them under the bogwood which should weigh them down, the vallis should not be planted to deeply though, only up to the bit where the roots meet the leaves, I think the cabomba may actually be happier unplanted though? I don't have great experience with this plant as you know :look: so perhaps someone more knowledgable will come along in a bit! soz hope that is ok :good: personally my track record with live plants isnt too good but I'm doing pretty well with crypts, limnophilia, java fern, hygrophilia and Java moss so they'll do! oh and moss balls are virtually bomb proof if all else fails

can anyone else help??

i'm now using plant food from pets at home, but now my vallis seems to have started dying (the leaves are dropping off slowly and starting to go really thin), but my cabomba is still sprouting new buds and also roots are starting to form from the stemmy bits!

also no-one has come back to me the best way to plant these after taking out of the pots apart from just bury them under a rock???

need help!!!!
