Hi, I have been told that RBPs will eat most plants... My tank is now decked out in lots of tacky-placky plants that look ok but id rather have the real thing. Are there any plants that RBPs wont eat?

Thanks.

I don't think that eating will be your worst enemy. RBP's are skittish and strong. They will uproot most light rooted plants such as MicroSwords and stem-plants. Your best bet is a thick-rooted plant like an Amazon Sword or a potted plant with a thick root structure you can bury and anchor deeply.

Good Luck. RBPs are fun...........................though messy eaters.

Thanks Il have a look when i go to my fish shop again. Could i possibly tie the base of the plant up with string and attach it to the bottom of the tank with suckers?

The tank has two external filters processing 1850L an hour so i think the mess and poo will be cleaned out fairly efficiantly...

Experimentation is the best way to find out. I had an oscar once. He never left a plant be. He always uprooted and dragged them around.

My step-brother has 4 RBPs and they freak out and bash in to the plants all the time. He has plastic ones so no harm is done. Real plants will not fare as well.
