Hi All, I was wondering if someone could recommend some easy to grow/maintain plants for my new tank? I'm using gravel and have some rocks and bogwood in there (currently doing a fishless cycle). I'd like some tall plants for the back as the tank itself is pretty tall at 600mm. As far as lighting goes it will be kept in a low-med natural light setting I will be switching the tank lights on in the evenings for no more than 8 hrs probably will average around 5 hrs a day. I do like the moss type balls that sit on the bottom of the tank not sure if they look after themselves? Thanks for any advice given.

the back of my tank is lined with Japanese cress, it grows tall and has a nice airy look.

Its growing good, no ferts or CO2

Hi Matty, I visited Pontarddulais Garden Centre for the first time a few weeks ago when I was looking for a tank so didn't really pay much attention to the plants. I'll pop back over there when my tanks cycled and ready for fish.

Thanks.

Yeah they normally have a good selection but it depends if you go just after a delivery. Check for snails though, they're plants always have egg deposits on
