Allright lads?
I have 2 tanks at present - both are heavily planted. My plants in the Juwel Rio are doing fine (mostly because of my Co2 + fertiliser drops daily). On the otherhand my plants in my 50ltr Interpet Fishbox are beginning to deteriorate quite rapidly.
I'm confused - the tanks been running (with the plants) for several months now, and up until now there has been NO problems whatsoever with them. In fact, it seemed that the plants bloomed and looked even nicer after a week in the tank!
Eg. My Hygrophila plant was lovely and green (with large leaves). Now it has gone lighter, with patchy yellow and brown spots all over the leaves. In addition my Elodea plants are beginning to look more straggled and unhealthy......
The only changes I can think of are the addition of 3 fry babies to the tank (temporarily) and 2 new snails (which are tiny and I have never seen them eat the plants before).
Could it be a lighting issue? I'm not sure about the bulbs in my tank, but it is a 50 litre Interpet Fishbox, with a nightlight (blue bulb) and normal (day bulb).
