I bought plants and they came in bunches with metal clips holding the bunches together, should i open the clip, there's so many thin stems it just goes everywhere. Should i just plant them with the metal clip??

IME, the metal clip can cause the stems to rot and they will end up everywhere anyway. I plant my stems in either 3 stem groups, or individually. I always make a fresh cut in the bottom of the stem and strip leaves off the bottom node or Cut the roots down to an inch to promote growth. Bury them carefully a little too deep and them gently pull them up a little. the sand or gravel will settle around the stem.

With luck you won't get too many floating up until they root.
