Hi All. I am currently running two tanks: one 125l and one 150l.

The 150l is currently home to several botia and a couple of plecos. I have a large piece of bogwood with java fern attached on a smooth gravel substrate. The filter's spray bar gives some surface agitation, but I want to ensure that oxygen levels are good. Which plants would you recommend to achieve this, bearing in mind botias' boisterous behaviour?

Plants aren't the best way to increase oxygen.  That should be done by surface agitation.  Plants will actually take-up oxygen at night.

Thanks eaglesaquarium. So is one filter's spray bar enough surface agitation or should I get an air stone / curtain?

It should be just fine.

No problem.  Anytime!
